Further the adoption of IDM technologies led to enhanced rhizosphere population of Trichoderma viride and Pseudomonas fluorescens.Item Management of basal stem rot disease in coconut through participatory approach(2008-09) Rajappan, K.; Vetriselvi, A.; Vaithilingam, R.Item Management of lethal leaf blight disease of coconut in Thamil Nadu(2007-08) Bhaskaran, R.; Ramanathan, A.; Vaithilingam, R.Item Performance of TxT Coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) hybrids in Tamil Nadu(2006) Natarajan, C.; Yuvaraja, A.; Vaithilingam, R.; Ganesamurthy, K.; Arulraj, S.Eight TXT hybrids and seven parents were studied for their yield performance and manifestation of heterosis for yield of nuts and nut characteristics. Among the hybrids, three showed positive heterosis for yield ofnuts and four showed positive heterosis for yield of copra. Manifestation of heterosis also differed significantly for nut characters. Hybrid combinatio~s Laccadive Ordinary Tall X Cochin China Tall and Laccadive Ordinary Tall x Philippines Ordinary Tall were superior for yield of nuts and copra per palm/year. The study revealed the possibility of identifying certain TXT hybrid combinations giving high yield.Item Screening of Coconut Germplasm for Tender Coconut Water(2002-12) Ganesamurthy, K.; Natarajan, C.; Vaithilingam, R.; Giridharan, S.; Khan, H.H.
