The role of tea mosquito, Helopeltis antonii Sign. (Miridae: Heteroptera) and the fungi (Gloeo-sporium mangiferae P. Henn., and another nonsporulating fungus) in inciting inflorescence blight in cashew, Anacardium occidentale L., was studied. It was found that tea mosquito is the primary causal agent of the malady and the fungi are only secondary saprophytic colonizers.en_US
