dc.description.abstractThe edible mushroom Pleurotus ostreatusvar. florida (strain INIREB-4) was cultivated on coconut fiber (Cocos nudfera). Also, the coconut fiber was mixed with coffee pulp in ratios of 1 :1 and 1 :2. with different periods of fermentation. The biological efficiency was of 80.6 ± 9.1 % in the coconut fiber in fresh. The highest biological efficiency was of 152.2 ± 1 8.3 % for the ratio 1 :2 in the compost with three days of fermentation, while for the ratio 1:1, the biological efficiency was of 120.5 ± 22.6% in the compost with five days of fermentation.en_US
