dc.description.abstractParadasynus rostratus Dist. a coreid bug was recently recorded as a new pest of coconut in India. The nymphs and adults feed on the tender nuts causing immature nut fall or malformation of nuts. There are five nymphal instars and the total life period is 82-97 days. The description of various stages, life history, nature and extent of damage and the distribution of the pest in space and time are discussed.en_US
