dc.description.abstract | THE garden land of the humid tropics responds to intensive management. It comprises the deep sands of the coastal tract, fairly level deep red loam, the medium deep to shallow laterite soil of the slopes and shallow lateritic gravelly soil with rocky patches of the hill tops. The diverse physico-chemical properties of these soils necessitate adoption of location-specific agro-techniques to achieve the high production potential. | en_US |
