| dc.description.abstract | A description is given of the development of apparatus for automatically controlling the moisture content of the output of a continuous-flow drier by adjusting the grain throughput rate in response to the signal from a capacitance-type moisture monitor. Experimental work: to determine the relationship between permittivity and grain m.c. and temperature is reported. Emphasis has been given to the optimization of the control action suitable for a relatively simple controller and the performance of this unit, when encountering wide variations in the input m.c., is examined. | en_US |
