dc.description.abstractIndian coconut sector faces stupendous challenges in the present era of globalization and economic liberalization. At international level, Indonesia and the Philippines pose serious challenges for the sustained growth of this sector. To overcome the inherent problems in the domestic coconut production, marketing and processing sectors, specific long-tenn and vision oriented strategies are need to be formulated and effectively implemented by the developmental agencies and research organizations.en_US
