The colonies of the isolates of P. palmivora are either stellate or smooth combed with sharply defined edge. Aerial mycelium was spares, being more or less absent from the peripheral areas of the colony. The size and shape of sporangia varied greatly among different isolates and even within a single isolate of P. palmivora.enArticle
