The amount of water that can be stored in red sandy loam soils of Kasaragod between 0.1 bar and 15 bars is less than 4%. The hydraulic conductivity of the Iaterite soils ranged from 11.9 to 30.8 cm/h and that of red sandy loam soil from 40 to 114 cm/hr.enArticle
