Studies on soil properties showed that there was an increase in maximum water holding capacity and porosity and decrease in bulk density. There was build up of organic carbon, N, P, K and Fe status, whereas there was decrease in the available Ca, Mg, Mn, Cu and Zn. Leaf nutrient status of coconut palms was increased resulting in increased nut yield.enArticle
